We have considerable knowledge in many parts of the offshore area. These include overall dimensioning of hulls for both semi-submersible platforms and FPSOs, but also detailed dimensioning for equipment such as fairleads and winches. We also have experience of pipe dimensioning for offshore applications such as fire protection water systems etc.
The assignment is usually carried out in accordance with many of the major classification organisations such as DNV, ABS and Lloyds.
We carry out assignments both on our customers’ sites and in our development offices, and assignments are often carried out with the software the customer wants us to use or that we feel is the most suitable. The most common software packages we use within this area are SESAM, FEMAP, NASTRAN, ANSYS, ABS EAGLE.
